Data Usage Policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

This page explains how Wandsbridge Reading Journal handles and accesses data on your device.

1. Local Storage Only

Every piece of information you log is written directly to a private, local database on your device. This data is protected by the Android sandbox system, and other apps cannot access it.

2. Network and Internet Usage

The App has zero network capabilities. It does not connect to the internet, make API requests, or send any analytics. Your reading records are entirely private to you.

3. Storage Access Framework (SAF)

To backup or restore your reading history, the App uses Android's Storage Access Framework. You choose the specific directory or file using the system file picker, and the App only accesses what you select.

4. Data Erasure

You have complete control over your data:

  • Delete all data: Clears all reading database tables while preserving your settings.
  • Reset app: Wipes all data and preferences, restoring the App to its initial state.
  • Uninstalling: Deletes the App's local storage and all contents permanently.
